There are subscript and superscript buttons on the ribbon under Home Font. Simply highlight the text that you want to turn into subscript or superscript, and click the appropriate button. The superscript shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + = on a PC and Ctrl + Cmd + – on a Mac.This shortcut works in Word and PowerPoint to quickly create (or remove) superscripts on the fly.
